my white room

i never saw a moor—
i never saw the sea—
yet know i how the heather looks
and what a billow be.

dear naoko,
i got it yesterday,
can not tell how much
it means to me.

thank you so much

bitter melon - the one on the wooden stool
looks like grandparents seed with all wrinkles,

morning glory has a different shape as well - this
summer we planted it with children but here -
like a tiny piece of drawing charcoal

from my early childhood
buckwheat porridge was the tastiest for me
but ive neven seen its twigs

narrow poppy boxes were
all over the fabric like a stardust

and vine with heartseeds
i wont wait, right afteri move in few
weeks - i`ll sew it. for now - one is
in the bottle and linen string holds
dimpled japanese glass beads -
black and white
