my white room

i never saw a moor—
i never saw the sea—
yet know i how the heather looks
and what a billow be.

tiny spool of linen thread and wooden button
make a nice necklace and this squirrel card
goes hand by hand with it

one more memory
first time i tasted chewing gum -
bakery store at my native town
sunny crossroad two flavors only
mint and orange covered with white powder
warming them up while walking back home
cos otherwise they fall apart in the mouth
this japanese one made me remember it
the same taste, and i`m six again
