my white room

i never saw a moor—
i never saw the sea—
yet know i how the heather looks
and what a billow be.

10/17/12

one day there was a thin crisp on the
puddles and after it was autumn again

this is a little hedgehog on the way home,
haaga. in finland. i was dreaming to meet
him, and we took the further road near
the park and he appeared, running across
the path. i could watch animals for hours,
trees in the windy weather.

same evening, hydrangea, white and blush
like skin. i like coming back there, with few
people on the streets, trams, bicycles, sun.

good night
to you

  1. We used to have a hedgehog in our garden quite often. We'd give him an apple. But they never stay long.

    I love your photos!

  2. how wonderful and dear...

every night a hedgehog comes by here and eats what´s left of the cat food - the little cats respect him quite much, i think they touched him once and wont anymore...

    your pictures... a dream...

  6. a moving glimpse through the leaves
of this solitary little creature that you painted so perfectly,
and of you among the gentle fireworks.
