my white room

i never saw a moor—
i never saw the sea—
yet know i how the heather looks
and what a billow be.

bill evans - peace piece

you hung the curtains on the window,
only a year later from the day we moved
in. and this is early morning with my angel
turned on, my christmas angel

and open them up, working all day slowly
only getting more and more energy out of
it, have found my peace and joy

    1. dear xenia,

      there are so many
      bits of you, white pebble
      is always on my table.
      and card in the drawer,
      japanese notebook in which
i am still afraid to put my kanji

and mittens, i am so impatient to
      make a pair by myself.
these, i bought in finland, so large
and falling off my hands but love
      them so much

      good night to you
      my dear xenia
