my white room

i never saw a moor—
i never saw the sea—
yet know i how the heather looks
and what a billow be.

dear patrice,

this dream about making
children's story illustrations
had entered my mind so many
times! and now i am thanking
you for giving us this new theme

she is a bit gloomy,
pale, but i felt good
drawing her bright
bonnet disappearing
in the forest coat

I love the palette and simplicity and posture of your Little Red.
    I'm jealous that I didn't paint this.
